Be it while we are driving, taking a shower or while working out, music has been an integral part of our lives and they sooth us and put us in our comfort zone and it is a mood changer.
A perfectly toned body, peaceful mind and serene inner peace is everyone’s dream and it is most commonly achieved through yoga. Most often mistaken yoga only for asanas, it is much more than that. A steady and continuous yoga practice can give you immense results to most of your concerns, including longevity and flexible body.
On this day of the year, when the world celebrates International Music and Yoga Day, let’s talk about how music and yoga goes hand-in-hand and helps you have a serene mind and sound body.

Music defines more than physical beings, it provides the evidence of your divinity. Music rose from devotional practices in cultures throughout the world and the word ‘Aum’ or ‘Om’ has been chanted and shred for the past 4000 years, is believed to be the first sound, the manifested sound of the live which can be found in all creations. Music is esteemed as devine cultures throughout the world from India, to Greece, to Africa.
Each and every individual has their own taste and preferences when it comes to music and there is a certain set of music that sooths them. Music is a one of the chosen art form to express emotions and talk about feeling. Most the songs created in the world has been driven out of emotions and feelings and these beautiful rendering have taken a special place in our heart. A serene song is something one would look for when it comes to relaxing and a good music actually detoxes your mind from all the negativity and stress.

Yoga, on the other hand is developed by the Indus-Sarasvathi civilisation in Northern India over 5,000 years ago and the word ‘yoga’ was first mentioned in the oldest sacred texts, Rig Veda. Continuous practice of yoga can result a person with a sound body and healthy mind. It is very important for a person to have they body and mind correlated as it helps them to lead a healthy lifestyle. Yoga is considered one of the best ways to correlate to body and mind, and provides you with the ability to lead a healthy lifestyle.
