Waybeo Going Way Beyond

Their initial venture was T-shirt making and its success made the group think doing something more daring with the fraternity

Published

on

Thanks to the hostel facility, SCT College of Engineering Trivandrum, saw an informal group, about 13, from various batches gathering together to fool around mostly but then once in a while, for discussions about money making. Their initial venture was T-shirt making and its success made the group think doing something more daring with the fraternity.  Around 2009 there came up an idea to conceive an Indian product with global deployment possibility. Remember this is a product company and not the successfully tested global services model. Since most of the members were into communications, the product naturally was focused in the communications domain. Maybe for the first time in their life, after passing feelers to a larger group of interested students, a concrete decision was struck.Three of the initial 13 and three from outside the group to make up the 6 founding members, creating Waybeo Technologhy Solutions.

The rest was not history. The core group obviously had to make major sacrifices. When fellow batch mates we flaunting their salaries, these entrepreneurs had to cut back and stick to just needs to keep the company floating. Then BounzD was born

How BounzD was born: – BounzD was ideated out of our own need and life experiences. Two incidents made us think of a solution that would help common men at the same time, business also in a big way. The first experience was from a German web hosting company who had displayed Toll free in their website and we called them for technical support. It was not Toll free… We understood the limitations of Toll free in geographical and operator perspective. Second incident was while booking hotel in Delhi. Again the Toll free trap occurred and we lost money in both the incident.

These 2 incidents made us think of a platform in online world, for public to communicate with business all over the world without worrying about cost, geography and operator limitations.

Team Unity

Our vision of a global product company from God’s India, our dream of developed India and patriotism unite us in every decision making and thoughts. Moreover, we 6 co-founders have a common set of values, even though our thoughts and approach to a problem is different.

Motivation

During the initial days, when we used to starve to pay the salaries of our employees, the smiling face of our employees motivated and inspired us to keep going. We loved their happiness when they make their living out of the money they earned from Waybeo. When the business started getting traction, another segment was  added into this. More than anything, we love the smiling face of our customers too. So our family, employees and customers make our day..

What is the Vantara Project ?

Published

on

Reliance Industries and the Reliance Foundation introduced the “Vantara” programme (also known as the “Star of the Forest” programme) on February 26, 2024. Its main focus will be on the treatment, care, rescue, and rehabilitation of hurt, abused, threatened, or vulnerable animals in India and beyond. Anant Ambani, a director on the boards of both the Reliance Foundation and RIL, is the creator of the programme.

Vantara (Star of the Forest) was founded on a deep philosophy that blends the accuracy of contemporary science and technology with the ancient Indian attitude of compassion, or “seva.” It is an expression of the moral duty to protect all living things, motivated by deeply ingrained Hindu traditions that maintain that serving animals is equivalent to serving the divine.

Vantara has demonstrated its dedication by organizing the rescue and rehabilitation of more than 200 elephants and numerous other animals from dangerous situations, offering these animals a safe habitat. The initiative extends beyond the act of rescue. It also includes putting key species like crocodiles, leopards, and rhinos through rehabilitation programmes to ensure their survival and well-being.

Vantara’s cutting-edge veterinary hospital, a marvel of contemporary medical technology, is the beating heart of the company’s medical endeavors. With its six specialist surgical centers, endoscopic robotic surgery technologies, and MRI and CT scan machines, the hospital is the best place for animal healthcare. The clinic, which fits damaged animals with prosthesis and helps them recover their health, is at the vanguard of medical innovation.

“The zoological park will be opened to the public soon, allowing people to witness our efforts in wildlife conservation and the sophisticated care we provide,” Anant Ambani said in a statement regarding the hospital’s capabilities and Vantara’s future ambitions.

However, Vantara’s vision goes beyond its confines. Ambani unveiled a bold proposal to transform animal welfare in India. “With training, capacity building, and the improvement of animal care infrastructure, Vantara aims to partner with the Zoo Authority of India and other relevant government organizations to improve the quality of all the 150+ zoos in India,” he said. This project, which emphasizes the value of comprehensive care and animal welfare, is poised to establish a new benchmark for zoos across the country.

In addition to being a haven for wildlife, vantara symbolizes optimism in the struggle against environmental deterioration and our responsibility to protect the planet’s rare biodiversity. Vantara asks us all to participate in a story that celebrates life in all its forms as it gets ready to open to the public.

If you wish to change things for the better, do something that has a purpose bigger than making money, and create a real impact rather than simply doing their 9-to-5 jobs – clocking in and clocking out. And that’s where NGOs come into the picture.

NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) work to promote social or political change and play a critical role in developing society, improving communities, and promoting citizen participation.
