Scroll through to find out the biggest fashion comebacks this season.

Baguette Bags

Baguettes are small, compact handbags, designed by Italian fashion company Fendi in 1997. Popularized on Sex and the City in the late 1990s and early 2000s, this product is often cited as the first it bag.

Designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi, she christened the bag the Baguette because this shoulder bag was made to sit comfortably under the arm in the very same way that the French are usually seen carrying this long, thin baton-esque loaf of crusty bread.

Wide-Legged Pants

When we think of wide leg pants the first thing that comes to our minds is formals, but thanks to the renewed styles this flowy garment has become a part of our everyday wardrobe. From denim to wool this garment can be worn in any season. And we can clearly see that our favourite celebrities are loving this trend. Whether you’re going for brunch with your girlfriends or going for a night out wide leg pants are your go to.

Denim on Denim

This look is perfect for everyone from kids to adults anyone can wear it and pull it off. The ideal way to wear this trend is by mixing two different shades and making the correct balance. This trend is bigger and better, looks so effortless and can give you the uber cool look for a casual occasion.

Cat Eye Shades

Everyone can agree that sunglasses can instantly boost one outfit and cat eye shades tend to be the most flattering shape as they add a touch of sophistication and glamour. This season, the designers gave this retro eyewear silhouette the update we never thought it needed. With more mood boosting colours and different designs the cat eye shape is ruling over the sunglasses trend.

Bandanas

The 90s head accessory has officially made a comeback. People are not only wearing these as head accessories but also as tops and have found so many different ways of wearing them.

Hair Clips

Hair clips are all about adding that extra touch to your outfits and still keeping it elegant and minimal. Every woman can easily add it to her hair and compliment her image.

Corsets

Corsets have officially made a comeback all thanks to the popular Netflix series Bridgerton. Even though this garment was worn to accentuate curves and achieve that tiny waist illusion, celebrities have hopped on this trend and styling them in a more comfortable way. From skinny jeans to dresses each celebrity is showing us their own version of this trend.

Andra’s Classic Kalamkari Sarees: A Timeless Craft

Published

on

As the saying goes, “Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder,” only a true art enthusiast can truly appreciate the intricate beauty woven into a hand-painted Kalamkari saree. These sarees are a perfect fusion of grace, elegance, and profound artistry, with each piece showcasing exceptional craftsmanship. What makes these sarees so unique is the use of natural dyes and pens handcrafted by the artists themselves, transforming fabric into wearable art.

The word “Kalamkari” is derived from two Persian words: “Kalam,” meaning pen, and “Kari,” meaning craftsmanship. Originally, this referred to the meticulous hand-painting done on fabrics using a special pen, although the term has since evolved to include hand block printing. Kalamkari has ancient roots, with two distinct schools of craftsmanship emerging in India during the 16th and 17th centuries. Both styles originated in Andhra Pradesh—one near Tirupati, the other near Vijayawada—each developing its own unique identity.
The Srikalahasti style is defined by its use of the pen for both outlining and filling in colors. The art focuses primarily on mythological themes, depicting powerful scenes from Indian epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharata. In contrast, the Machilipatnam style, influenced by Islamic art, features floral patterns and designs inspired by nature, such as flora and fauna, set against delicate fabric backgrounds. Despite their differences, both styles are known for their exquisite detail and use of vibrant, natural dyes. The skill and precision in creating these intricate designs have remained consistent through the ages.

Kalamkari art adorns a wide variety of fabrics, including silk, cotton, sico, and even modern materials like georgette, chiffon, and crepe silk. The use of vegetable dyes ensures that the colors are long-lasting and rich in tone. Common motifs include trees, creepers, flowers, leaves, and birds, as well as pictorial representations from ancient epics, folklore, and scenes of everyday life. These themes elevate Kalamkari sarees beyond mere clothing, making them a stunning display of tradition and originality.
In today’s fashion landscape, Andra’s classic Kalamkari sarees remain a symbol of timeless elegance and cultural heritage. Whether worn for special occasions or everyday elegance, these sarees continue to captivate with their unique blend of art and tradition.
