Are you already done sitting inside the house post covid? Staying indoors during lockdown is stressful and overwhelming for most of us go to our terrace or balcony to make a fun filled memories with games. And Ludo is star game to entertain people irrespective of age groups. Check out these other games to enjoy the lockdown experience with your loved ones.

Pallanguzhi:

One of the very old traditional south Indian games. Most of our grandparents would be familiar with this game since it was popular then. This is an indoor game with the pallanguzhi board having 14 cups divided into 7 cups on each side. The game is usually played with 2 people sitting on either side of pallanguzhi with 7 cups. But this game can be played with ¾ players as well by dividing the cups accordingly to 4/3 cups per person. This game helps to increase the mind calculation skill, concentration and patience.

Goli; back in action

Goli is a traditional Indian games 90’a kids and late 80’s are most familiar to. It is also called as kanche in some places. It is played in two variations. The rules of both are; first we should draw a circle about 2 feet wide and in the dirt or mud. One marble is to be kept as the shooter and others go in the circle. You have to shoot your marble from outside the circle targeting one of the marbles inside the circle. All the marbles you’ve knocked out will be yours. People can take turns and play this game. This traditional game is back in action at many places for the love of the desi games.

Lagori or seven stones:

Lagori is a desi game which is also known as seven stones and is the most popular game played in India. Seven stones and one ball is needed in this game. The players are categorized as two teams and then the seven flat stones or wooden plates or blocks are placed a pile one above the other. When the game starts one team will knock down the stones and try to restore it back one above the other while the other team will throw the ball at the opposite team therefore not allowing them to restore the pile. This game is also a physical activity and can be played in the front yard of the house without making any nuisance to others.

Carrom board:

Carrom board is a Tabletop game originated from India. The game is usually played on a square properly made of plywood with 4 pockets at each corner, carrom men and the striker. It is available in various board sizes like smaller carrom boards and larger carrom boards. In different areas or places different standards and rules exist for carroms. Playing carroms with family or close neighbors without going outside makes you feel less distressed from the overwhelming feeling of being stuck inside. It also increases the unity of being a team.
