With Baahubali 2: The Conclusion out in theatres now, Aries Plex Cinemas was honoured for their best in quality screens and revenue

Trivandrum-based Aries Plex, promoted by UAE-based Aries Group, has received yet another honour in the name of Baahubali. This time Aries Plex received special appreciation from the team behind Bahubali, directed by SS Rajamouli, for its huge revenue generation through advanced infrastructure facilities.

The Baahubali team declared Aries Plex as the best screen in the country to watch the movie in 4K format which has set new benchmarks in film making. The award of appreciation was handed over to B. Unnikrishnan, Managing Director of Aries Plex at a function held at Trivandrum on Monday. “Watching visual splendours and technical wizardry in ultra modern ambiance is a unique experience and it is worth cherishing. Bahubali one such movie that should be watched in 4K facility. It is a positive sign that the stakeholders in the film industry are gradually embracing advanced technology. We are elated as our efforts to uplift the film industry (from production to screening) are reaping benefits,” said Sohan Roy, Chairman of Aries Plex.

Aries Plex generated more than Rs 3 crores when the first part of the movie was released on 10th July 2015. Aries Plex became the first in the country to generate such a whooping revenue in a short span of time while Bahubali became the first film to make a record collection from a single cinemas. Bahubali 2: The Conclusion has already raked in Rs 121 crore in India on its first day, breaking all box-office collection records in the country. As per the reports the movie has already amassed more than Rs 200 crore gross at the worldwide box office.

Aries Plex is one of the largest cinemas in Kerala with a seating capacity of more than 1515 seats (700 for Audi 1 dual 4K Atmos). The re-release of magnum-opus movie got a rousing reception at Aries Plex. The re-release of the first part was conducted in connection with the release of the second part titled Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Ariex Plex equipped with top-notch infrastructure facilities is the only cinemas in the country with dual 4K projection at a multiplex.
