Amul

Amul as a brand surely gives a taste of India. With the charming AmulPoppet, she toasts us with the wits of current affairs. Amul ads are known to trigger a few controversies, still everyone cannot resist a bit of muska. The controversial ad of all time was perhaps the one in which the UK authorities conducting virginity tests on Indian women arriving at London airport. The text said “Indian virgin needs no urgin’!” Following protests, Amul came up with another billboard apologising for the ad enterprise.

Still, Amul is the bread and butter of life and she’s a 22 billion Rupees enterprise!

Amul would say, “Cows should just stop saying moo, they should go “A mooo l.”

Surf Excel

To all the detergent ads that used to show blinding white saris, Surf excel decided to play a little dirty. Let’s say it took a little washing of the mind, Surf Excel played on the paradox of dirt being good, Daag Achaein Hein.  They showed children doing good deeds and getting dirty in the process for so many years. Coming clean, even the mothers were swayed by the ads. We have to say Surf Excel never seems to get off its clean image.

Surf Excel would say, “I made the bad look good. I should have just patented this, or Pitbull wouldn’t have stolen my idea. “

Bru

It’s got a share of 46.9 % in the Indian Market. That’s certainly a lot more, when we have to share a cup of our coffee with someone. Playing around with happiness, it did have to deal with a little bit of grumpiness. Bru was looked upon as the lazy thing a housewife would do. After all, filter coffee was made with love. Now Bru is the coffee one can never resist having with someone they love.

Bru would say, “I know I may be an instant coffee powder, but I think of myself as an instant Charmer. “

Dairy Milk

Far from crying over spilled milk, Dairy Milk always eats its way to success. It was easy to win the children’s hearts but boy did they sweeten the adults. They got Amitabh Bachchan nibbling on it, talk about child’s play. 70% of Indians are Dairy Milk lovers! The iconic Cadbury’s Dairy Milk logo of two glasses pouring milk into a chocolate block has survived the test of time and always looked into inner child in all of us.

Cadbury Dairy Milk would say, “I don’t run the world, it’s far too small. I rule the Milky way!”

Pepsi

If there’s any brand that could pull it off by saying, bleed Blue, it’s Pepsi.  It’s always known for being ‘in’ and fizzing with creativity. Pepsi is bubbling in its tagline, Change the Game.  We are sure you could not resist all those ads where they revealed the inspiration behind the cricketers’ move. If you got time, watch the Kevin Pieterson and Virender Sehwag one in youtube!  To seal the deal, Pepsi is more than a thirst quencher!
