Swapna was born in Ernakulam district of Kerala, to Augustine and Sophie. When Swapna reached the age of four, she started getting training to use her toes but it was really difficult for her to bend toes to uneven angles. It was a situation where normal people would lose faith but Swapna’s parents weren’t ready to give up on their child. As the kid needed special care and training, the parents enrolled Swapna into a home for disabled people when she was six. It was the mentors there who helped Swapna to realize her talents and nourish them.

By the time Swapna reached her teenage, she began to portray beautiful images of nature and it’s shades. Her parents always supported her. When she chose to study history at St. Mary’s College, Ernakulam, Swapna became an inspiration for many others with disability. After graduation, she had done a few exhibitions of her paintings which received high appreciation. It was at that period Swapna applied to join Swiss Society of Art which supports talented artists like her. After the identifying her talent, Swapna became a member of the International Mouth and Foot Painting Artists (IMFPA), which has selected only 24 members from India.

Swapna got many of her friends in the same field she is in and helped them. She has conducted her exhibitions in various places in India and even abroad. A few years back Swapna met Nick Vujicic, an internationally recognised motivational speaker who doesn’t have limbs and presented him a family portrait of his own. Swapna’s paintings on nature and gods are internationally acclaimed among art lovers. Swapna still believes everything she achieved was due to her parents. Her father who named her Swapna (dreams) gave wings for her to fly high in the sky, instead of arms. With an everlasting smile on face, Swapna continues to inspire a lot of people.
