]]>Shah Rukh Khan gets an invitation from the Oscar authorities after omitting him from the 2017 list. The new list consists of a record of 928 members invited by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as the body behind the Oscars seek to enhance diversity. In the year 2017, the Academy had omitted the big name Shah Rukh from the invitee list. Around 744 members were invited and the list consisted of the names Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and Amitabh Bachchan. Many actresses younger than Shah Rukh like Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra were included in the list. But this year, artistes from 59 countries have been invited and the Academy, in an announcement said that the new members will increase the diversity as 49 percent of the invitees are females and 38 percent are the people of colours.
India features a wide line of eminent personalities in the list of new invitees that include female actors like Tabu and Madhuri Dixit- Nene to name a few. Anil Kapoor is another important personality to be invited along with Ali Fazal and Naseeruddin Shah. Bengali actors Soumitra Chattergee (Bridge) and Madhabi Mukherjee (Charulata) are also enlisted. Yash Raj Films’s Aditya Chopra and producer Guneet Monga also are a part of the list. Cinematographer Anil Mehta, noted for his work in Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar, Manish Malhotra and Dolly Ahluwalia from the category of costume designers. Production designers Subrata Chakraborty and Amit Rey who worked in Haider also represent India. Dangal editor Ballu Saluja, Sneha Khanwalkar, and Usha Khana represent the music sector.
The Academy has been working in order to include more diversity in the voting panel so as to avoid a controversy like when the Oscars were dubbed “white” for failing to recognise the talents of colour in 2016. With women coming forward and demanding better representation through #MeToo and Time’s Up movements, the Academy seems to have taken these changes in consideration by diversifying its membership.

Mahira was seen opposite Shah Rukh Khan in her debut Bollywood film Raees by Rahul Dholakai. Shah Rukh’s much awaited movie Zero is to be released on 21 December 2018. Since the first teaser of the movie has come out, fans all around the world seem to be eagerly waiting for the movie’s release. The teaser is a great hit in YouTube and social media platforms. Seeing Shah Rukh and Salman Khan together on one screen has given a huge treat for their fans on Eid. The movie is now being discussed across borders and that was the time when a fan asked Mahira’s opinion about the teaser. As expected she praised the King Khan with all the love.

King Khan is seen playing a dwarf who is very fond of Bollywood in the movie and he has teamed up with the best international VFX technicians to match Hollywood standards. The teaser of the movie showcases Shah Rukh and Salman dancing together. Its a romantic drama written by Himanshu Sharma and directed by Aanand L Rai. According to Aanand, the films speaks about the imperfections of ones life. The film also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, making this a second collaboration of the trio (the first one being Jab Tak Hai Jaan). Also the last film in which the legendary actress Sridevi appeared and died shortly after completing the film. The film marks a lot of special appearances starting from Salman Khan which is shown in the teaser and also many others including Sridevi and Rani Mukerji. The film is made at an approximate budget of 150 crore.
Mahira is all excited to watch Shah Rukh as a dwarf in the movie and is waiting for the release of the movie herself. She is presently busy with two films, Saat din mohabbat and Maula Jatt 2 . She also serves as a brand ambassador for many brands such as Lux, Q Mobile, Sunsilk , Veet and L’Oreal.

Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani education advocate who, at the age of 17, became the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize after surviving an assassination attempt by the Taliban. Born on July 12, 1997, Yousafzai became an advocate for girls’ education when she herself was still a child, which resulted in the Taliban issuing a death threat against her. On October 9, 2012, a gunman shot Malala when she was traveling home from school. She survived and has constantly continued to speak out on the importance of education.
Nobel peace laureate Malala Yousafzai returned to Pakistan on Thursday, officials said, in her first visit to her native country since she was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman six years ago for advocating education for girls.Malala is widely respected internationally for her bravery and activism, but opinion is divided in Pakistan where some conservatives view her as a Western agent on a mission to shame her country.
Malala is expected to hold meetings with Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Army Chief General Qamar Jawed Bajwa, and other important figures in Pakistan, she will also participate in the ‘Meet the Malala programme’, during the four-day trip but further details have been “kept secret in view of the sensitivity surrounding the visit,” a government official said. Accompanied by her father and younger brother, she met Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the capital, Islamabad, before giving a brief speech on national television.
“It’s the happiest day of my life. I still can’t believe it’s happening,” she said, wiping away tears.
“I don’t normally cry … I’m still 20 years old but I’ve seen so many things in life,” added Yousafzai, clad in a traditional shalwar khameez outfit with her head covered with a red and blue duppata scarf.

Yousafzai spoke about the importance of education and about the efforts of her charitable foundation to help girls, often switching between English and the Pashto and Urdu languages.

Gauri Khan, an interior designer by profession is a familiar name to most of us. Wife of Bollywood’s superstar Shah Rukh Khan, she has been a woman of her visions, artistically curating her imagination with luxurious expressions of design. At a recent event of Chivas Alchemy 18, held at The Lodhi, New Delhi, she designed a bar and chandeliers, which look inventively magical.
The design showcased the installation of 1800 Chivas Regal bottles into a swish bottle art named Artisanal Bottle Art’ emanating high luxury interiors, with ravishingly appealing aesthetics. While the chandelier complemented the 70-foot bar, which was also decorated by Chivas Regal bottles, the predominant colours of amber and understated grey mixed spotlessly with the Chivas blue.
The event was termed “an evening crafted for the senses”, which seemingly required artists to display their work based on the sense of smell, sight, and touch.
Recently, Gauri was awarded Excellence in Design Award at the Hello Hall of Fame Awards. While this was the ace interior designer’s first award and was felicitated by Bollywood’s favourite director Karan Johar, Gauri dedicated the award to her husband, who accompanied his lady with pride.
In the day and age of DIY, Gauri is an epitome of luxurious style inspiration, vision and grandeur aesthetics. Taking it up by a notch, her label, Gauri Khan Designs cracked a deal with international brand Ralph Lauren, taking her aesthetic appeal to the international market.

Shah Rukh Khan and Anand L Rai finally released the title of their much-awaited film, portraying the talented actor in a new avatar of a dwarf. The title is named as Zero and the video has a duration of one minute.

The teaser opens with numerous adjectives such as ‘paagal’ (mad), ‘aashiq’ (lover), ‘shaayar’ (poet), ‘makkar’ (trickster), mental, among many others, giving an insight into the character of Shah Rukh, who plays a vertically-challenged man in the film. Singing Mohammed Rafi’s classic track Iss Diwane Dilne Kya Jadoo Chalaya, SRK’s character makes a solid entry.

The film, produced by Gauri Khan releases on December 21, also features Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. However, the teaser does not reveal anything about their roles. The trio had earlier worked together in Yash Chopra’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan(2012).
Shah Rukh Khan flaunts his dance moves in a typical ‘tapori’ style and in the end says, “Hum jiske peeche lag jaate hain, life bana dete hai .”

Shabana Azmi recently took to Twitter to express her appreciation towards Suhana Khan’s acting skills. Suhana, who just turned 17 a few weeks ago, is an aspiring actor and also Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter!
Though we aren’t sure which video it was that made Shabana Azmi appreciate the teenager’s acting skills, there was a video of Suhana donning Cinderella’s role for a school play. Shabana is one of those veteran actors whose opinion is always taken seriously in the industry.
