American actor George Clooney and his wife Amal Clooney, who is a Human Rights lawyer responds to the current family separation crisis in the United States by donating $100,000. The US-Mexico border, where the immigrants’ families are separated has been in discussion all over ever since American President Donald Trump came up with new detention policies.

In just over a month more than 2300 children were separated from their parents at the border. Parents of twins Ella and Alexander, the Clooneys responded to the situation by coming to the children’s aid. In a joint statement released by George and his wife, they said, “At some point in the future, our children will ask us: is it true, did our country really take babies from their parents and put them in detention centers? And when we answer yes, they’ll ask us what we did about it”.

They donated the money to Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights, an organization based at the University of Chicago that provides legal counsel to unaccompanied children. Amal is a Lebanese-British lawyer who is also an active Human Rights activist. She is the President of the Clooney Foundation for Justice which she co-founded with her husband in 2016. George Clooney is a successful actor with many remarkable movies to his claim and is a philanthropist also.

Although Barack Obama too brought about policies that prosecuted border crossers, but it was Trump’s ‘zero tolerance’ policy that led to the problems of children being separated from families and made the situation worse. Many people have responded to this which has finally caused Trump to reverse his policy on Wednesday, but the case of the children who are already separated is still undetermined.

In addition to the Clooneys, Pop singer John Legend and singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen also came forward with support and donation to the migrant children.

It’s yet another case that woefully counters the idea of a happily ever after. After nearly nine years of an envious relationship, Hollywood actors Channing Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan Tatum have mutually decided to separate. Channing announced the decision through a post on his Instagram account in order to quell all speculation and misinformation.

After meeting on the sets of the film Step Up in 2006, the duo were soon dating each other and tied the knot in 2009. Together, they have a daughter Everly, who will turn five in May. The celeb couple were last scene together in public at the Kids’ Choice Awards. The couple has chosen to separate amicably and promise to support each other and their daughter. Jenna is currently hosting NBC’s World of Dance and Channing has lent his voice in the upcoming animated film Smallfoot.

While the twosome were known to set a number of couple goals with their public display of affection through their generous social media gushing for each other, signs of trouble started doing the rounds since early this year. Jenna has even been quoted airing her thoughts on the institution of marriage, “I don’t think there should be any expectation, any sort of ‘You’re bonded to me for the rest of your life,’ thick and thin. I think that’s an older generational thought.”
