Flowing spaces, ample lighting, enhanced privacy and pleasant interiors are the key features of Sameera’s house”, says James Babu, the interior designer of the house.
The white exterior walls with cladding zones, bamboo gardens and carpet grass lend a green and eco friendly effect to the house. Pargola roof with tuffen glass on top of the sit out, 1st floor balcony and stair area lets ample light to flow and a sky-view from inside.
Living Spaces
The living spaces of the house are encompassed in a green-white combination. Accentuated by clean and modern lines, the space uses minimum elements and maximized use of space. Matching shaded furniture, muted drapes, pebble court, long L shaped sofas, light green designer wall paper, all highlights a contemporary feel. Furniture colours matches with that of the theme.
From main door to stair area there is a vertical gypsum ceiling as similar to the pergola design. Cove lighting enhances the beauty of this space. There is a pebble court with a pony tail palm in between living and dining space close to stair case. Facing this court and behind the TV area there is a showcase to display the accolades received by the designer.
Glass top dining table with white and green pebbles and white chair around, adds to the beauty of dining area by maintaining uniformity. Wash area lined with indoor plants and wide glass doors near enhance lighting and adds to the overall elegance and greenness.
Open kitchen with breakfast counter is common in any contemporary house and you can find one similar here also. The white hanging lights in the breakfast counter accentuate the appeal of the space. Digital printed earthy tone tiles are used in kitchen while the green white combinations give out a modern feel. The adjacent work area has a bamboo garden close to it.
Each of the 3 bedrooms of the house is differently themed. The master bedroom is a combination of greenish blue and white theme. White curtain, white coats, white vitrified tiles, greenish blue gypsum ceiling, white head board of cots and small niches are play of the combinations.
The guest bed room encompasses a floral theme, with a pink-white colour combination. The drapes with mix n match floral design add vibrancy to the room. The third bedroom is in the first floor. The colour combination here is a lively light blue and white.
Other Spaces
The favourite place of the couple is the private living space in the 1st floor. An informal mood is set in the room with plain spaces and the absence of furniture. The colour combination here is beige, set against posters of Sameera’s works. There is a balcony close by.
