We all have heard stories of a poor guy falling in love with the rich girl. The Notebook is a common story which is narrated in an exceptional way. The tale progresses through hero’s attempt to get back his love of life and the struggles they both had to face. The author tried to state that only a few beautiful memories are needed to keep the love alive and cherished forever. The movie adaptation of the book released on June 2004, with the same title and the movie is still considered as one the best in this century when it comes to romance based genre.

Considered as one of the best romantic novels ever published, Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen is a classic from the 19th century. The story revolves around Elizabeth Bennet, the protagonist and her emotional developments. The film adaption of the novel got released in 2005 with the same title as in the book. The film’s theme was same as the novel as it emphasises on realism, romanticism and family values.

An emotional rollercoaster by John Green, Fault In Our Stars is a novel where love is portrayed beautifully. It was in a cancer support group that Hazel Grace Lancaster, a teen with cancer meets Augustus Waters who is an amputee. It is love tale which overcomes the fear of cancer, but in the end, the author will surely leave your eyes wet. The movie Fault In Our Stars reached screens on 2014 and still remains as a favourite movie amongst the people who crave romantic movies.

Another heart-wrenching tale from Nicholas Sparks, A Walk To Remember is a story of Landon Carter, a popular teen in his school who falls in love with Jamie Sullivan, an innocent and pious girl from the same school. But life takes a turn when they Landon realizes that some realities can’t be changed and decides to face them. The book ends with the line “I now believe, by the way, that miracles can happen”. The movie adaption of the book was released in 2002 and both the movie and book got a lot of lovers.

Another classic novel from the 19th century by Charlotte Bronte. The whole story revolves around Jane, who is an orphan and her journey in life as she grows up. The plot of the novel consists of five different growth stages of jane from a nine-year-old kid to a lady in thirties and her love life. In 2011, the movie adaptation of the book, directed by Cary Fukunaga, was released and it gained commercial success as well as acceptance from reviewers.
