“An unusual story from the Ballads of South. The lives, sacrifices, and heroism of the immortal warriors of Venad’, the motion poster begins so. The film Kaaliyan directed by S Mahesh will hit the screens next year after Aadujeevitham and Lucifer. The movie scripted by B T Anil Kumar will portray the story of a warrior who is not that popular or perhaps forgotten by history.

The motion poster doesn’t reveal much about the film. However, the piercing looks, long locks, and beard are quite attractive. Sujith Vaassudev will handle the DOP, while the music will be done by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The film is produced by Rajeev Nair under Magic Moon Production Company. The rest of the crew and technical departments are not yet finalized. But, according to reports the Bahubali fame, Sathyaraj might be playing a pivotal role in the film.
The film is about Iravikuttipillai, a warrior of Venad from the Ballads. According to reports the action sequence of the period drama might be choreographed by Game of Thrones Crew, one of the largest series from HBO.
