The images gained over 95K likes and several comments from admirers who showered them with admiration as they immediately became popular on social media.
The directors released the song Tum Kya Mile on June 28 as the countdown for the release of Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani began. The love ballad, which was sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, will probably hook you. We should also point out that the music video is a visual treat, with the camera moving around beautiful, snow-covered landscapes while showing Ranveer and Alia’s romantic chemistry. Similar to the teaser, Alia’s cheery and colorful costumes steal the scene here too! Let’s explore each saree style from the song.

The Supreme Court of India in a landmark verdict strikes down 158-years old colonial law and allowed gay sex among consenting adults in private. Supreme Court said that right to love anyone was an individual choice. They further said that consensual sex between adults is not a crime.
#Breaking: #Section377 of IPC insofar as it criminalises consensual sexual acts between man and man, man and woman or woman and woman is unconstitutional and struck down.
Sex with animal will however remain criminal.
Judgment in Suresh Kumar Koushal overruled.

“LGBT Community has same rights as of any ordinary citizen. Respect for each others rights, and others are supreme humanity. Criminalising gay sex is irrational and indefensible,” said Chief Justice Dipak Misra, who headed the five judge bench hearing the case. The judgment was delivered by a Bench of Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra and Justices Rohinton Nariman, AM Khanwilkar, DY Chandrachud and Indu Malhotra.

What is Section 377?
Section 377 refers to ‘unnatural offences’ and says whoever voluntarily has carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman or animal, shall be punished with imprisonment for life, or with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to 10 years, and shall also be liable to pay a fine. The Centre, which had initially sought adjournment for filing its response to the petitions, had later left to the wisdom of the court the issue of legality of the penal provision on the aspects of criminalising consensual unnatural sex between two consenting adults.
The Supreme Court began hearing petitions against the ban in July, beginning an emotional debate over the right to freedom and privacy. While hearing the case, the judges have made observations that have largely given hope to the gay community. The Supreme Court in their historic verdict said:
- Section 377 is arbitrary. LGBT community posses rights like others. Majoritarian views and popular morality cannot dictate constitutional rights
- No one can escape from their individualism. Society is now better for individualism. In the present case, our deliberations will be on various spectrums
- To deny LGBT community of their right to sexual orientation is a denial of their citizenship and a violation of their privacy
- Autonomy of an individual is important. He or she can not surrender it to anyone
- Homosexuality is not a mental diorder

Raazi is an espionage drama which tells the story of an Indian woman married off to a Pakistani Army officer to become a spy for her country. Meghna Gulzar took up the mammoth task of recreating 1970’s Pakistan in India. The film revolves around Alia aka Sehmat who becomes an Indian spy on the order of her father played by actor Rajit Kapur. Raazi is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Raazi is based on a real-life story dating back to 1971 Indo-Pak war which makes the film more intriguing than anything else.
The trailer is as thrilling as it can get and has glimpses of Sehmat being trained for her spy duties. The trailer wraps with Sehmat pointing a gun at who appears to be her husband while tears roll down her cheeks.
Karan Johar describes it in just the right words: “The story of an ordinary girl in extraordinary circumstances!”
This woman too might have been lost, like many other names that have not found a place among the patriots of our country. But thanks to Harinder S Sikka, a former Lieutenant Commander of the Indian Navy, who brought out her story through his novel, ‘Calling Sehmat’ – published in 2008.

Taking the veil off the bogus world of Bollywood, social media users gave Karan Johar a taste of the real world by replying with images of actual students as opposed to the fabricated appearance of student life as depicted by the director in his films. The incident comes as a response to the revealing of the cast of Student of The Year 2, in which Karan introduces two new faces – Ananya Pandey and Tara Sutaria, along with Tiger Shroff.

The poster of the film, a sequel to the 2012 film Student of The Year, portrays the characters of Ananya and Tara as hot-pants clad, mid-riff baring – poor imitations of their American counterparts à la Mean Girls, Clueless, and other high school flicks. It was received with a tepid response, with many followers favouring the cast of the first film that saw the debut of the spunky Aliaa Bhatt along with Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, and Sana Saeed. Taking a jibe at the fluff that Bollywood aims to recreate, most conspicuously through Karan’s films, the director being a specialist at college stories; Bollywood fans seem to have finally come of age as they mocked at the representation of the film’s ‘students’.

Social media users reacted by posting images of some of the real students in India, who underwent every challenge for the sake of education. Instead of makeup smothered faces, decked in high heels and miniskirts, toting purses containing lipstick and compact, competing for glamour; images of determined visages of underprivileged students wading through knee-deep waters, holding onto plastic covers as bags to carry their heavy books were shared. Pupils from across the country also took to the social media to post their own pictures to give a realistic image of what real students, real classrooms and colleges look like.

After Ayan Mukerji’s directorial Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, produced by Karan Johar made headlines for one of the highest grossing films of all time and the tenth highest grossing Bollywood film overseas, fans and admirers of the film have dreamt of Deepika Padukone-Karan Johar collaboration for the longest time now and the wait is over.
Filmmaker Punit Malhotra took to his Instagram to introduce the new director in the advertising block – Kjo, by posing with him and Deepika, who is taking the lead on Karan’s ad directorial debut for the brand, which is still under wraps. The ad film is being produced under Dharma Productions’ brand called Dharma 2.0, which is primarily known for making advertisements.
On the other hand, Karan seems to be pretty excited about this project as he took to his Instagram by posting a picture with Deepika and marked the official reunion after the success of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, which made a whopping Rs. 318 Cr box office worldwide.
While the details about the project are still a secret to the public, we wish Karan all the success on his new venture and are excited for the ad to hit the screens.

The film is going to be directed by Golmaal director Rohit Shetty and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Simmba’ is an official remake of Telugu super hit starring N T Rama Rao Jr and Kajal Aggarwal. This will be the first time ever when Rohit and Ranveer join forces for a big screen venture.
The 18-year-old Priya shot to viral fame in hours and had filmmakers queueing up outside her door. Apparently, Karan Johar, who is co-producing Simmba, is keen to have her on board for the film. Incidentally, Priya is a fan of Ranveer Singh, and has expressed interest in working with him in several interviews.
Karan Johar is the dream launch pad for any newcomer in Bollywood. Starting from Rani Mukerji (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai) to Alia Bhatt (Student of the Year) and now Janhvi Kapoor (Dhadak), Johar has been instrumental in making their presence felt in the Bollywood filmdom. He has given all these newcomers a brand name since they have worked with him. Will Priya also make a big mark in Bollywood?
Simmba, which will have Ranveer Singh playing a cop, is slated to hit the screens on December 21 this year. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta in lead roles, this film tugged at heartstrings. Though he didn’t direct the movie, he did write both the screenplay and story.
My Name Is Khan (2010) (Director, Story)
A socially relevant theme at the time. Shah Rukh Khan played the autistic ‘Khan’ in the film. Again, an emotionally moving film. It also starred Kajol and Jimmy Shergill.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) (Director, Dialogue, Screenplay, Story)
A love triangle between the popular guy, his tomboyish best friend and the new girl. The movie stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji in the main roles.
Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) (Director, Story)
This family oriented drama had amazing sets and beautiful shots. It starred Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Kajol and Kareena Kapoor in the main roles.
