The reality star, Kim Kardashian and Jameela Jamil have stormed the internet with Jameela Jamil’s lashing out against Kim for Body shaming and reducing the worth of women. Jameela Jamil who is an actress  in The Good Place series is the founder of the Weigh Social Media campaign which encourages everyone to focus on their accomplishments rather than their looks.

The reality star, Kim received some serious retaliation from the Good Place actress, Jameela who accused her of body shamming through the promotion of this diet suppressant lollipops. Jameela called Kim a ‘terrible and toxic influence on young girls’ and urged the girls and the 100 million followers on instagram who worshiped Kim to stop buying appetite suppressors and eat enough to fuel their brain. The product that the Kardashian had been promoting is designed to be taken when people experience food cravings. Jameela Jamil raged over Twitter and asked the young girls to rethink on who they place on a pedestal and not succumb to such negative ways to maintain their bodies.

It is quite a known fact that due unrealistic beauty standards set by society many girls starve themselves to get the perfect look. It’s endorsements like these that can promote body shaming and defeat the whole purpose of campaigns that promote body positivity. Insecurities should be dealt through positive methods like exercising and not taking diet suppressant products. Even though the post has been taken down by Kim the fact still remains that many try and make being attractive the main goal in their life.
