]]>The wedding outfit of Rakul Preet Singh has everyone in awe! In terms of bridal style, she is a shining example of grace and elegance. Examine her gorgeous lehenga in great detail, taking note of its elaborate design and the symbolic significance of its colours. Examine her jewelery selections, beauty tips, and hairstyle specifics. Take inspiration from Rakul’s sophisticated and magnificent wedding look and pick some style advice for your own unique occasion.
Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani, the romance of the hour, likewise made the choice to forgo the vivid colour scheme in favour of delicate pink and ivory tones. The couple held their partners close to each other while flashing their million-dollar smiles in the official pictures they shared on the internet.
Rakul’s custom-made pastel pink lehenga by Tarun Tahiliani made her look like a dream. The actress donned a skirt covered in hundreds of small floral designs that were heavily glittered, beaded, and pearl-studded. She chose to wear a bustier for her choli, which was made with layers of net fabric that matched the colour of her lehenga. She chose full sleeves with a soft, see-through material buttoned down towards the end of her wrist as opposed to the short-sleeved option. Her dupatta was exquisitely adorned with numerous tiny, vibrant flowers throughout. Pearl and bead embroidery adorned the portion of the chunni that was precisely fastened to her bun.
The groom looked great in his ivory-coloured Tarun Tahiliani sherwani, which was embroidered with more elaborate flower patterns. He wore an achkan-style attire that gave off a royal vibe, and his exquisitely tied pagdi matched his choodidaar. It was covered in little studs all over and bordered with embroidery. The actor-producer channeled his inner Akbar by wearing a traditional mojris and carrying his drape in an elegant manner that matched his turban. Jackky also had a sarpech on his safa and a layered neckpiece made of kundan in shades of green. He was observed donning a sophisticated watch, his wedding band, and an additional emerald ring on his other hand.
Regarding Rakul’s jewelry, she opted for a stunningly crafted choker instead of the lengthy neckpieces. Her necklace’s enormous, blingy stones may easily cause blindness in anyone. Pearls, beads, and a few more medium- and small-sized gemstones were used to balance and assemble them. A maangtika and large, hanging earrings finished her ensemble. The massive, elegant, and shimmering engagement diamond she flashed on her ring finger was the talk of the town. Additionally, she donned pink kaliras and custom-made, minimalist choodas by designer Mrinalini Chandra.
The actress chose to use soft glam makeup in hues that complemented her wedding attire for her makeup look. For her D-day, she accessorized her eyes with eyeliner, a glowy base, and dark arched eyebrows, all complemented with a delicate pink lipstick shade. The actress also sported a modest mehendi on her hands, in keeping with the trend. They even decided on a backdrop and décor made of flowers. Baby’s breath flowers and enormous pink roses were used to make the varmalas.

]]>A Grand Royal Wedding held in Kerala
In this issue, we have Mr.Sahad, Creative Head of Maritus Events and Wedding Planners, Kochi- Thiruvananthapuram, who shares his experience of planning a grand royal wedding for one of his hi net worth client who wishes to have the name confidential.
The wedding held early this year was one of the grandest Kerala has seen. The groom was from Nagarkovil and the bride from Kottayam. Being a Muslim wedding, a Mughal palace theme based grand venue was set up at a private beach at Kanyakumari to accommodate 15000 guests including their business partners in Middle East. The huge stage was 300 x 60 ft wide and long and the venue was a fully decorated 9000 sq ft area total space. “It took almost 14 days to set up the venue” recalls Sahad.
The grand entrance which was like a long tunnel was fashioned following Arabic desert tents. A whole Middle East-Arabic ambience was created by the settings and entertainment extravaganza like Tanaura, an Egtytian dance by dancers from Middle East, orchestra with shehnai, tabla, guitar etc and an array of sumptuous Arabic dishes.
Royal Weddings / Palace Weddings
The pomp, glory and opulence of bygone periods are brought to life as you exchange vows bejeweled like a Prince and Princess in a royal backdrop amongst the display of many royal luxuries, traditions and processions. Indian royal weddings are exclusively associated with the Rajput or the Mughal tradition; may be due to its rich heritage India had passed through. Still a shadow of colonialism is also seen; they who love to be a William and Kate!
In the North, it is not very uncommon to book an old palace, a heritage resort or a colonial bunglaw as venues to deliver the best possible authenticity. Destinations like Rajasthan, Hyderabad and Goa are synonymous with Royal Weddings, due to the abundance of venues of regal ambience. Many old palaces, forts and bunglows here have been transformed into best heritage hotels in the world for people who nurture enthralling ideas.
“As such buildings are not available in Kerala, Wedding planners erect a replica of a palace of your choice and all the elements associated to it depending on your budget” says Sahad.
Décor Royale
The venue of a Royal Wedding is of course elegance exemplified. A palace ambiance is recreated, right from the well wrought entrance, chandeliers, columns and draperies. The stage décor can be chosen from anything from gold and white background to recreating a magnificent Jaipur Palace or Taj Mahal in front of you. An elegantly bejeweled stage with carved golden pillars in fibre can be made. Further the venue can be decorated with rich fabric drapes and exotic flowers.
As choices are wide from unique selection of whimsical castles and horse drawn carriages to arches and standees, royal wedding decorations will make your fancies come true! Colours are usually chosen according to custom palace backdrops or in contrast to the bridal wear. Grand lightnings, floral decorations, red carpet, fireworks floral ragoli all adds to the grandeur.
Royal Extravaganzas
The entire experience in a royal wedding will take you to a princely pride, as caprisoned elephant, camel and horse, butlers, soldiers, fireworks and royalty everywhere. Entertainment extravaganzas can remind court performances like traditional folk music, folk dancers, fire eaters, palmists, royal messengers, percussions, dholaks, nagadas, snake charmers, Arabic dance, anything can be added or elaborated according to the client’s choice, perceptions and theme chosen. The epicurean elegance will also be in accordance with the royal retreat.
Royal Rituals
Rituals play an important part of any weddings in India. There are many royal picks of rituals from the North like baraat, mehendi, mehfil, mahira dastoor etc which can be tried for variety as well as uniqueness. The choice of additional fanciful traditions is a choice of the client.
How to Plan
Before planning a royal wedding, the first and foremost thing to do is to fix your budget, as it is a costly affair. Once it is determined, then choose a venue. Big halls or open venues are ideal. It is your choice to decide that whether you want to celebrate only the main ceremony with settings alone or to go for some extravaganzas to be made like mehendi, processions, music, dancers etc based on the budget. And, don’t forget to make it clear through the invitations that the wedding will be themed, so the guests are prepared for it.
It is true that special moments worth remembering for the lifetime. So when it comes to weddings, people are ready to turn every conceivable stone
