“Madhanaya”
Punjabi folk music has a genuinely touching element to it. These are some of the greatest wedding songs on your playlist because of their uplifting lyrics and calming melody. Anybody will do for your grand entrance; they are both as appropriate.

As you make your way towards your beloved, let the gentle strumming of guitars and Sheeran’s velvety vocals create a dreamy atmosphere filled with love and adoration.

A well-known wedding song called Din Shagna Da is typically performed during the bridal entry in Indian weddings. The song is ideal for a wedding entry since its melody and lyrics evoke a sentimental and romantic mood.
“Sooraj Ki Baahon Mein”
This is a perfect song for the wedding party entry because it’s not too particular for just one guy and girl, it has the Coldplay feel-good celebration atmosphere, and the movie itself was a coming-of-age story set in Spain. Put another way, it’s a great song to start a conversation with friends!
“Kudmayi”
The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani song Kudmayi is one of the most popular wedding entry songs right now. Imagine this song playing as you walk down the aisle while wearing a long-trail lehenga, sparkling kundan or polki jewelry, and understated bridal makeup. AMAZING!

“Oh Piya”
On their wedding, Parineeti Chopra wrote a beautiful song as a gift for her husband Raghav Chadha. Parineeti sings the song ‘O Piya’ on her own. Social media users have shown admiration for the emotional song, which is now a must-have on every bride’s checklist.
“How Long Will I Love You”
This is the ideal song for the romantic and emotional bride. The song has a soft, pleasant melody that is calming to the ears. Its tender and sincere voices create a sentimental atmosphere that is ideal for personal wedding moments like the bride’s arrival or special occasions like the first dance.

December is known not just for Christmas but also for the Weddings that take place! With so many options to choose from, brides-to-be have a hard time choosing what suits them best. We at FWD have come together to help you find that perfect wedding dress for your dream wedding, that would be unique and spell FABULOUS!
Are you the kind that dares to be different? Is strong, independent and unique your forte? Brides, bow down to the most regal of wedding accessories since the tiara: The cape and the capelet.
For her lavish Roman wedding, the jewelry designer and founder of Sabine G. wore a Schiaparelli Haute Couture gown with a hooded cape embroidered with a golden sun motif by the French house Lesage.
Just in time for the generation that made “Yas, Queen” more than a statement but a state of mind, the Victorian piece is back and better than ever.
This season’s lovely caped creations offer coverage like a coat or stole and cascade down the back like a veil.
If capes are your calling, check out Monique Lhuillier, Lela Rose & Romona Keveza‘s designs.
Wanna ditch the new-gen stuff and go back to the classics and be an angel? Feathers and fringes to the rescue! We love a bit of whimsy in a wedding dress.
Ivanka Trump looked breathtakingly beautiful in her Vera Wang wedding gown on her wedding.
Soft feathers and fringe as bridal embellishments look light as air and give gowns a glamorous quality reminiscent of Art Decor days gone by.
These fringed and feathered styles seem to float out of the heavens and onto the aisle.
Wanna look like an angel on your wedding? Get inspired by designs from Oscar de la Renta, Mira Zwillinger & Christian Siriano.
Do you want to just be comfortable in your shoes and yet, stand out from the rest? Then ladies, separates are here to stay.
Olivia Palermo wore a Carolina Herrera Cashmere sweater, white shorts and a tulle skirt. Beautiful, isn’t she?
Whether sets of skirts and crop tops or pants and blouses, the nontraditional wedding look is a surefire way to stand out on the big day.
These are super fun and flirty yet still refined and elegant enough for a bride.
If being comfy is your number one concern, check out works by Mira Zwillinger, Christian Siriano & Christos Costarellos.
Is that inner diva in you waiting to come out on your wedding? Simultaneously sultry and sweet, lingerie elements have broken out of the boudoir and into bridal.
Remember Kim Kardashian’s corset bodice wedding dress?
Think corset bodices, slinky slip dresses, oh-so-sheer fabrics, plunging necklines, and dangerously high slits à la Angelina Jolie.
If this is what you want to don on your wedding, check out designs by Anne Barge, Carolina Herrera & Elizabeth Fillmore.
Not feeling like wearing white? Wanna play around with some colors? Sometimes, a color palette emerges as the next hot trend in wedding dresses. This season, slightly cooler shades make a splash in the sea of white and ivory wedding dresses.
For her New Year’s Eve wedding to her tennis-pro fiance, the Big Bang Theory actress wore a custom Vera Wang ball gown made of petal-pink tulle.
Pink, with its romantic, feminine affiliation, extended its stay, with gowns ranging from baby pink to hot pink and everywhere in between.
But blues, and a watercolor-esque combination of pinks and blues, were the true new trend—and a convenient one at that for brides in search of “something blue.”
If colors are what you love, check out the designs by Delphine Manivet, Naeem Khan & J. Mendel.
Is there anything cooler (or more comfortable) than wearing a chic, tailored suit for your wedding? We think not.
Solange wore multiple looks during her wedding to Alan Ferguson, one of which was a bridal jumpsuit with a cape. Coolest. Bride. Ever. The minimalist ivory outfit was created by Stéphane Rolland, and is a true statement piece.
Designers are expanding their wedding dress collections to include pants and jumpsuits—and we couldn’t be more thrilled about it.
The daring suits pair professional minimalism with playful, surprising details such as ruffles and sequins.
Thinking of being a #girlboss on your wedding? Check out the works of Carolina Herrera, Lela Rose & Monique Lhuillier.
So now that you know what kinda bride you are, go on and dazzle and have fun on your Big Day!

When Bangalore based couple Alicia Souza and George Seemon got married, it was just them and the witnesses, on an off day when they were all the least busy, showing up at the registrar. A few signatures and an exchange of garlands later, they were married! There was no hullabaloo with the intricacies that are usually involved in a wedding, and there was no ‘corniness’ involved.
But when they posted the news online, there followed a huge hype regarding their unique wedding and their unconventional way of announcing it to the world. Unique like how she chose to respond to his proposal.
What followed could only be termed mushy and romantic. She dedicated a whole website in his name. “Dearest George”, about which George jokingly says, “..now I have to live with the fact that there is an illustration of me in my undergarments all over the internet” . Because love is, after all, always in the little things we do for one another, hoping to make them smile. FWD Life got in touch with the couple to learn more about their marriage, their story and the love they share for the other.
When asked about the other, they both had only ‘good’ things to say!
George: “She is a happy soul, She can not dislike anyone! She sees happiness in things we normally wouldn’t (for example when you she sees a cow take a pee, she glows with delight, haha). She loves stories, she loves her work, and is weirdly perfect.”
Alicia: “A kind, loving, smart, caring, nice, funny, sometimes hard to please, still-didn’t-fix-the-toilet-tube-light, gentleman.”
…….because honestly, nobody’s that perfect.
We went on to ask them a couple of more questions regarding the website Alicia dedicated to George and the comics inside.
Alicia: “Haha I think I am! I am such a sucker for doing silly things that would make George smile. It makes me happy too! I think we have a drawer full of love notes. It may be part of what I do for a living too..because every time i feel like telling him I absolutely adore him, I draw it.”
George: “I just thought that it made more sense to let her know how I felt in advance and in detail rather than throw hints along the way (haha!). I realised we are adults, we know what we want in our partner and when you see a girl you like, you don’t let her go.
Secretly, I knew she liked me so it was a safe gamble “
Then the talk went onto how they(George) were ‘not’ cheesy or corny. Personally, we think they are in their own unique way.
George: “I am not even remotely corny, though Alicia begs to differ! She is the one who actually does that for the two of us! When we decided that we weren’t going to have a big wedding, we talked about how we should announce it. I said maybe design a card (She makes it, I post it…that’s how all our snail mail works). But then Alicia surprised me with the website a day before it was officially launched. I knew I had lost complete control by then, and now I have to live with the fact that there is an illustration of me in my undergarments all over the internet. Alicia, however, is thoroughly amused.”
Alicia: We met. “He said ‘let’s go out’. I said ‘okkkayyyyy!’. Many moons passed. He asked me to marry him. The rest is now!
We have the simplest wedding story with a whole lot of cheesiness!”
Alicia: “50 first dates only because my memory is pretty similar to Drew Barrymore’s in that movie. And because Adam Sandler is quite adorable and persistent as George had been. Well, I mean he was persistent but he IS adorable haha.”
We concluded the interview with what we’d like to call a classic question. The answer left us feeling mushy inside, so much sweetness all packed into one answer!
Alicia: “I think we’re a bit of an ‘old’ couple in most ways. Even though we’ve been seeing each other for less than 5 years, I feel that everything has been so comfortable and seamless since we got together, that it feels like it’s been 50, in the least boring way! We’re both similar in the fact that we have independent daily lives, love meeting people and also love staying at home, and eat really, really fast (haha!). We’re also superbly different in many ways, which makes things interesting!”
You can find Alicias cute and adorable illustrations about George and their life here. Read more about George’s take on their wedding as well.
