The first look of Ithikkara Pakki is out! Mohanlal is staring as Ithikkara Pakki for Rosshan Andrrews upcoming movie Kayamkulam Kochunni.  Actor Nivin Pauly will also be staring along with Mohanlal. The first look of the character was posted by Mohanlal through social media which is so charismatic. The announcement and shooting came without much hype as the first look.

The film is scripted by Bobby and Sanjay. Priya Anand is the cast instead of Amala Paul, as she has some date issues. However, the Mohanlal’s look gives a huge expectation for the film. “To see whether Pakki is coming, look at the trees, the locals used to say. We would like to call him a borderline fantasy character, and there is a lot of mystery associated with him. There is a lot of materials available about Kochunni, but there is hardly anything about Pakki,”  says Scriptwriter Sanjay.

This is the first time Mohanlal is going to share screen place with Nivin. And Nivin took the twitter to share his delight. He wrote,” And It’s confirmed!!! The charismatic Lalettan is joining the cast of Kayamkulam Kochunni for a role that can only be performed by the Complete Actor himself!! This is truly a dream come true moment!!!”.

On Valentines Day, Ekta Kapoor took the twitter to announce the first poster of the film “Laila Majnu” which would hit the screens on May 4. The film is scripted by Imtiaz Ali and co-produced by Ekta Kapoor. Sajid Ali, Imtiaz’s brother will make his directorial debut in this film. Th crew is going to retell the evergreen Laila-Majnu romance on screen. This would be a contemporary version of the love story.

Ekta took the twitter and wrote “Excited to recreate the epic love story, ‘Laila Majnu’ with master storyteller Imtiaz Ali. Balaji Motion Picture, Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Laila Majnu’. ‘Laila Majnu’ on May 4.”

While talking about the film, Imtiaz said that the idea of an adaptation has always been on his mind as he is greatly fascinated with the classic love story and its timelessness. Imtiaz Ali has always given space for newcomers. Ekta expressed her excitement to work with Imtiaz as he had always been exceptional in creating romance on screen. Laila Majnu was been from 9th century itself, but it was popularized by Nizami Ganjavi, through his poems. In 1976, H.S Rawail brought the couple first on screen, in which Rishi Kapoor and Ranjeeta Kaur played Majnu and Laila respectively.

Kamal’s much-awaited movie  Aami, a biopic of Madhavikutty, lacks nothing but Aami in it. The woman who lived and penned for truth is placed in the movie in a sanitized plot. The woman who was not afraid of writing the truth is portrayed in a censored arena. The movie starts with a scene in which a bird gets crushed in between the leaves of the fan, where Madhavikutty is hospitalized. The movie looks spectacular with the Charismatic frames of Madhu Neelakandan.

Kamal’s Aami is lacking the soul. The woman we see on screen is none other than Manju Warrier itself. If Kamal wanted to visualize Madhavikutty on screen but didn’t want to get immersed in controversy he could have used the third-person narrative in the screenplay. Here the story is said in Madhavikutty’s perspective but each and every fact is wrapped inside a controversy-free panorama. Madhavikutty’s pen never feared of controversies. So using the first-person narrative and hiding all the facts is a matter of vain. If Kamal employed the third-person narrative and made this censored version, it could have at least been a good strategy of film-making.

The Neermathalam plays an important role throughout her life in the film. Her POV of the tree is visualized in variant forms based on her age. The use of  Mahavikutty’s insane fantasies helped to build some sense as a film. Her secret lover Lord Krishna, is delivered beautifully. The screenplay is poorly constructed. The placement of scenes where the story travels from past to present and intercutting in between was the poor choice of plot. The film could have been much better if the story had a slow progression from  Aami’s childhood to old age. The use of some characters like Janu amma, Valli, who were helpers at her ancestral home helped to show the changes in the timeline, even though the placement was tangled.

The dialogue construction was good to an extent, but the similarity of dialogue delivery made them flat. The plasticity of laugh that Kamal portrayed is pathetic to someone who has heard Madhavikutty’s, so is the dialogue modulation. However, the selection of words for Aami needs to be appreciated. The lyrics of Rafeeq Ahamed and scores of Bijibal are far beyond description. The casting was somewhat good, even though the protagonist failed to amuse the audience. Manju Warrier, known as a Female Superstar, fails to bring any facial expressions for her character. Her smile, tears, anger everything has a plastic nature and hence Pattanam Rasheed’s effort went vain. The old and young women who played Nalapat Balamani Amma should be praised. Madhav Das remains a good character throughout the film. Lord Krishna and Akbar Ali are mesmerizing.

The bond between Aami and Das is something hard to crack. Das’s relation with his gay partner neither creates any emotional struggle that Aami had nor generates any sympathy for her. As Kamal tried to drive away from controversies he failed to portray her relationship with some of her lovers. Carlo and Rahul Madhav became some unwanted elements in the storyline. However, Kamal succeeded to depict Kamala’s love for Lord Krishna. Her conversion to Islam is well crafted so that it won’t hurt any religion. Trying to portray Madhavikutty without creating controversy is futile like diving into a river without knowing to swim. Those audiences who would experience Aami without a knowledge of who she is, would definitely ask that why she is so special because you won’t even get a glimpse of the renowned writer Madhavikutty from Aami.

The trailer of Kaalakaandi is finally out and it can surely give you the chills. Saif Ali Khan is looking his usual best in the confused desi ‘boy’ look, and promises to break the conventional film watching experience of the audience. The Movie seems to have high level of black comedy infused with good amount of sarcasm and boldness. The film has been successful in creating some controversy for its share of bold content and experimentation with 73 cuts by CBFC. Even though saif’s last movie Chef, did not create much ripples amongst the audience..but Kaalakaandi surely looks like it’s going to create a big wave.

Saif Ali Khan is not new to noir cinema, as his movies like Being Cyrus and Go Goa Gone did fairly well in box office.

It is power packed with visually aesthetic elements and shot in reeling hypertechnicolor. The movie begins with Saif Ali Khan consulting a doctor, where he is told that he is suffering from stomach cancer. And Saif is shocked as he has remained clean all his life and feels miserable about his condition. Finally he is advised to try all crazy things that he has not done in life, as his days are numbered. The movie is all about his tryst with everything from drugs, to parties and unregulated violence.

#tiktiktik … yes the countdown begins and let’s wait to see this visual treat with the experience of outer space, stars, meteorites and much more!

Whether a story unfolds in our own galaxy or one far, far away, space makes a great setting for a film and this can be one of its kind.

The exploration of what lies in our stars has long been a fascination of mankind and we have seen it in most of the Hollywood films. But then, rejoice Indians. They are coming!

The first Indian space flick starring Jayam Ravi and Nivetha Pethuraj will hit the screens on January 26, 2018.

This movie marks the reunion of Ravi and director Shakti after last year’s Tamil zombie thriller Miruthan. The film is financed by Hitesh Jhabak and the music has been scored by D Imman.

Tik Tik Tik trailer was hit by more than 4 million people on Youtube in 10 days. The trailer started on a really high note and there were many who found the plot similar to ‘Armageddon’. It begins with an asteroid hitting the Earth that spreads panic and fear among the people. Though it seems like that, people are awaiting for this one with a different plot of magician taking up the lead role.

Talking about his experience, the lead actor, Jayam Ravi had stated. “The character I play is not that of an astronaut, but I am part of a space expedition. The first half deals with how I get involved in the expedition and the second half completely takes place in space. I thoroughly enjoyed working in the film. I’m sure children will be amazed by the scenes involving zero gravity.

Talking about the film, Shakti, the director had shared his experience of exploring the space genre in a commercial setup. And he adds on saying that, “It’s very challenging to engage audience when the story shifts to space as there are not too many elements to play with. Our film has no romance and even the songs have been shot as montages but we have elements we think will appeal to everybody.”

1) The Avengers Infinity war will see the all of the marvel characters until now, after the team was dissolved in Captain America Civil War’
2) The new trailer shows marvel characters in new attires, like the black widow with blonde hair, Spider man in his new upgraded costume, Captain America with his new look and much more.
3) Thanos is finally here. Almost every avenger movie, the character of Thanos is shown and the fans have been waiting for Thanos to hit the stage and hit those superheroes hard.
4) This movie will hopefully see the reunion of the avengers with some new additions to the list
5) Thor lost one eye and his hammer, Captain America lost his Shield, Tony Stark is still mad at Captain America for saving Bucky who murdered Tony’s parents), who knows who all will lose what in this latest movie.?
6) The Guardians of the Galaxy are here and groot is now a teenager.
7) We all saw Thanos, taking the infinity stone out of Vision, and we all know that Vision has a family now. Will her die or will he survive? Is anybody else going to die ?
8) The theme background score of the avengers always gives us the goosebumps and this time it’s no different.
9) The Civil war ended with Captain America saving his comrades from the prison and we get to see them once again and what happened to the all of them, especially Tony after Civil War.
10) That scene where Captain America comes out of the shadows “ Get this man a shield”.
