One of the myths that this spa visit broke for me was that all massages involved oils. The thai massage Yoga Style does not involve any use of oil, rather the therapists uses their hands, knees and leg to move you into a series of yoga like stretches which helps improve circulation and flexibility. An hour later the end result is a feeling of enhanced mobility and peak in energy level.
If you are looking for a more relaxing and deeply soothing massage, check out the ‘Arokaya’ foot massage. A session is around 60 to 90mins in which healing thai herbs are steamed to ease muscular aches, improve lymphatic circulation and detoxify. The wonderful Kanphu balm and aroma oils is massaged in for an overall feeling of warmth and weightlessness. The other massage that caught our fancy is the ‘day after massage’. This is really a good choice for those who suffer from headaches especially the late party kind. Also try out the hot oil head massage which has aromatic oil blend which includes sesame, peppermint, cedar wood and lavender.
If you want to kick up the luxury a bit try out Champagne Body Massage which actual uses oil from Champagne in a luscious masque of strawberry, peach and grape extracts. The other pampering body massage is the Rice Bran and Oatmeal Scrub which is recommended for reducing sunspots and hyper pigmentation. These among others are part of the special bridal package developed at Aroma Thai. Make a note to opt for the exclusive oils.
