The trailer of the film Sui Dhaaga is out, and it certainly doesn’t look like the regular Bollywood kind of flick. The film has the feels of Padman and the effects of Swades come into play and give you something entirely refreshing. Sui Dhaaga seems to have taken inspiration by the government’s ‘Make in India’ campaign, Sui Dhaaga sheds light on the life and struggles of artisans who ensure their art of embroidery doesn’t die.

This film will somehow take you back to the whole Swadeshi Movement saga, where our people did not get the due recognition for what they produced or were simply made to use inferior quality products coming from outside India, the British took the credit and control for most of the production. The plot of the film is heavily influenced by Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy; which revolved around the encouragement of domestic production and boycott of foreign goods as part of the campaign for independence.

The trailer shows Mauji (Varun Dhawan) as a salesman at a shop that sells sewing machines. He is unable to find work as a tailor and therefore has to suffer the discourtesy of his master and employer. Mamta (Anushka Sharma) hates watching him get humiliated all the time and wants him to start working on his own. Together, they fight for respect and starting a business that they can call their own.

The film has been bankrolled by Maneesh Sharma and directed by Sharat Katariya. Sui Dhaaga is scheduled to release on September 28.

Earlier this week, Virat Kohli tweeted a message with a video of Anushka Sharma schooling a man for littering, trying to promote awareness on the matter of cleanliness. In the video, Anushka Sharma is seen calling out a man traveling in a car for carelessly throwing trash out of the car’s window. She asks the man, “Why are you throwing garbage on the road?” She adds, “Please be careful, you can’t just throw plastic around on the streets.”

The man in the video who has identified himself as Arhhan Singh, took to Facebook to slam the actress and her husband Virat. He wrote he is apologetic for his behaviour. He then proceeded to criticise Anushka for “ranting and yelling” at him like a “road side person”. He also commented that Virat has a trashy mind as he recorded and posted the video out on the Internet.

Very recently, the mother of the shamed man posted on Instagram a long note slamming the couple. She even called out the incident, “a cheap stunt in the name of cleanliness”.

Following this incident, the Internet split into two sides, one side congratulating Anushka Sharma for rightfully calling out the man and other side blaming Anushka for using harsh tone she took to confront the man regarding the issue.

Lack of fitness can be said to be one of the major problems faced by the majority of Indians. The Union Sports Minister and Olympian, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has raised a challenge as part of #HumFitTohIndiaFit campaign. The minister posted a video of himself doing ten flawless push-ups and he challenged cricketer Virat Kohli, actor Hrithik Roshan and badminton champion Saina Nehwal to do the same. Rathore asked everyone about their fitness mantras and the video has already gone viral on social media. Both celebrities and common folks in the country are putting up their challenge videos and the campaign has already begun to make a difference.

Celebrities are taking up the challenge without any hesitation and their challenge completion videos are getting wide attention. Virat Kohli who took the challenge of the minister posted a video of him doing spider planks through the official tweet account. The personalities who Virat chose to throw the challenge gained a lot of attention as he challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, star cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, and his wife and actress Anushka Sharma.

Everyone was surprised to see the Prime Minister’s tweet this morning saying that he accepted the challenge and ensured Virat Kohli that he will post a fitness video of him soon. Also, Hrithik Roshan, who is one of the fittest actors in India, posted a video of himself cycling through the busy Mumbai streets by accepting the challenge Rathore’s. Hrithik passed the challenge to his parents, Tiger Shroff, and Kunal Kapoor. Tennis ace Sania Mirza’s tweet gained a lot of attention where she asked ‘When was the last time we saw a Minister do this and she stated it as a cool move’.

The list of celebrities went higher when Saina Nehwal posted a video of her doing weight training and further challenged cricketer Gautam Gambhir and PV Sindhu. Sindhu passed over the challenge to Deepika Padukone and Deepika shared a video which introduced her new obsession to people. Amitabh Bachchan, Anushka Sharma, Tiger Shroff, Babita Phogat, Mithali Raj, Farhan Akhtar are a few among many who went on with the challenge. Not only celebrities, ministers and political leaders also came forward with their fitness moves.

Shah Rukh Khan and Anand L Rai finally released the title of their much-awaited film, portraying the talented actor in a new avatar of a dwarf. The title is named as Zero and the video has a duration of one minute.

The teaser opens with numerous adjectives such as ‘paagal’ (mad), ‘aashiq’ (lover), ‘shaayar’ (poet), ‘makkar’ (trickster), mental, among many others, giving an insight into the character of Shah Rukh, who plays a vertically-challenged man in the film. Singing Mohammed Rafi’s classic track Iss Diwane Dilne Kya Jadoo Chalaya, SRK’s character makes a solid entry.

The film, produced by Gauri Khan releases on December 21, also features Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif. However, the teaser does not reveal anything about their roles. The trio had earlier worked together in Yash Chopra’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan(2012).

Shah Rukh Khan flaunts his dance moves in a typical ‘tapori’ style and in the end says, “Hum jiske peeche lag jaate hain, life bana dete hai .”

The movie’s mini trailers have come out and the excitement is in the air as hardcore fans of SRK want more. The first song from the movie, Radha, is all set to be released today.
